Last July 6, 2020, the Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry held its Induction ceremonies followed by the 24th General Assembly via its first ever Zoom online platform. With all 12 diplomates in attendance, the diplomates witnessed Dr. Corlu Caparas stepping down from the board after many years of dedicated service as its first chairman then as ex-officio member. The entire body enthusiastically welcomed Dr. Mariza Custodio as the newest board member.
Dr. Alvin Laxamana, PDA President 2020-2021, administered the oath of office and gave an inspiring and encouraging address to the body.
The newly inducted officers of the PBPD for 2020-2022 are:
- Chairman: Dr. Ma Rosario Eala
- Secretary: Dr. Maria Margarita Almoro
- Treasurer: Dr. Carina Mabanta - de los Reyes
- Board Member: Dr. Mariza Custodio
- Board Member: Dr. Eric Hernandez
The 24th General Assembly followed the Induction ceremonies with the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer giving their respective annual reports followed by discussion on matters pertaining to career specialization, society membership, diplomate renewal requirements and diplomate examinations and program accreditations.
