Casebook Back in the Requirements for Phase I: Validation of Credentials

The PBPD has resolved in the January board meeting to put back the requirement of the casebook as part of the Phase I: Validation of Credentials of specialists.

The PBPD casebook is a patient-based record of the cumulative experience relevant to Pediatric Dentistry. It is an accurate record of the patients examined, diagnosed and treated by the applicant in the following categories:

Christmas Get Together 2023

Our annual Christmas get together and dinner was at the beautiful home of Dr. Georgia Remulla. We feasted on a delicious spread of Filipino dishes. The rest of the night was spent exchanging stories and gifts, enjoying our gin and tonics and posing for our traditional Christmas photos. It was a truly wonderful night of fellowship in such a lovely setting.

27th PBPD General Assembly

The 27th General Assembly of the Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry was held last July 3, 2023 at Chef Jessie’s at The Rockwell Club, Makati City. Before the meeting, we had our traditional photoshoot in our togas and Filipiñana attire. The brunch meeting was then presided by Chairman Ma. Rosario Eala and attended by Drs. Abaya, Almoro, Custodio, Caparas, Remulla, Kamantigue, Medel, Raralio.

Important Announcement of Changes to the Diplomate Examination of the PBPD

The Regulations relating to the Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry Phase II Qualifying Written Examinations have undergone a review. The Regulations previously published are therefore not valid and are no longer available. The changes come into immediate effect starting July 2023.

The Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry is pleased to announce the regulations on the revised Phase II Qualifying Written Examination (QWE). Changes in the QWE will take effect on February 2024.

Celebrating PBPD’s Milestone – The 25th PBPD Anniversary and General Assembly

"Sixteen months ago, our lives were upended in ways none of us could have ever imagined. Fear of the unknown was the order of the day and we all seemed to be groping in the dark. The human spirit, however is amazingly resilient. Founded on a growing body of science and fueled by faith, kindness and generosity, we begin to see windows of light in the dark bubble that is the COVID-19 pandemic.

24th PBPD General Assembly

Last July 6, 2020, the Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry held its Induction ceremonies followed by the 24th General Assembly via its first ever Zoom online platform. With all 12 diplomates in attendance, the diplomates witnessed Dr. Corlu Caparas stepping down from the board after many years of dedicated service as its first chairman then as ex-officio member. The entire body enthusiastically welcomed Dr. Mariza Custodio as the newest board member.

23rd PBPD General Assembly

Once a year, the member diplomates come together for its annual General Assembly. The early birds dressed in Filipiniana attire came into the Cameron Forbes room at the Manila Polo Club ready for the annual pictorials. With complete attendance, the General Assembly held last July 3, 2019 started at exactly 8:00 AM with Chairman Ma. Rosario Eala presiding. The meeting centered on all diplomates are one with the PBPD thrust in uplifting the practice of Pediatric Dentistry in the Philippines and recognition as a Dental Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry.
