Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry Inducts New Diplomates

The Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry (PBPD) is pleased to welcome three new pediatric dentist specialists into its roster of Diplomates. In ceremonies held last July 1, 2013 in the Trophy Room of the Manila Polo Club, the following were inducted as new Diplomates of the Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry:

  • Dr. Paul Plaridel Aguinaldo Abaya, Jr.
  • Dr. Mariza Gatmaitan-Custodio
  • Dr. Bernadette Apacible-Kamantigue

The PBPD validated and recognized the successful completion of accredited training of the inductees and their pursuit of professional excellence through continuous learning, hence the conferment of the title Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

PBPD Inducts New Diplomates

Dr. Fernando "Andy" Fernandez, PDA President, came to meet the PBPD Board of Directors led by Dr. Lourdes Caparas, Chairman, Dr. Maria Margarita Almoro, Secretary, Dr. Maria Rosario Eala, Treasurer, and Dr. Carina De los Reyes and Dr. Eric Hernandez, Board Directors, as well as the new diplomates. Dr. Rannier Reyes, Board member of the Professional Regulation Commission Board of Dentistry was the inducting officer, with the PBPD Board of Directors as witnesses. Dr. Vicente Medina III, Dean of the University of the Philippines, College of Dentistry was the inspirational speaker.
